[ENCI-l] ATTN: GRADUATING STUDENTS - IMPORTANT IRON RING/GRAD BANQUET INFO

Dear Graduating Students,
We are officially less than 200 hours away from getting our Iron Rings, and as Saturday approaches many people are still wondering, what exactly is going on Saturday, March 22nd?
Here is a timeline of event:

    8:15 am to 12 pm - APEGA Workshops (Telus Convention Center) (Details in package provided to you when you registered for the Iron Ring at the Undergrad Office, also remember to bring your filled out application)
    12 pm to 1 pm - Free Lunch provided by APEGA for all who attended the workshops (Telus Convention Center)
    1:30 pm - IRON RING CEREMONY (Telus Convention Center)
    3:00 pm (Or whenever the Ceremony ends) – Department photos (An announcement will be made at the ceremony. Each department has a 10min time slot for their photo.)

After Department Photos up to 5:30pm - Free Time to do as you please!
    5:30 pm – 2014 GRADUATION BANQUET (Hyatt Regency Calgary – Imperial Ballroom)
    5:30-6:15 pm - Cocktails (Cash Bar)
    6:00 pm – Banquet hall doors open

•         There will be seating charts – every seat is spoken for – so please do not change your seats/tables!!

•         If you have special meal requests, there will be a card at your table. You must present this card to your server in order to receive your meal.
    6:30 pm-10 pm – Formal portion of the Banquet

    10:15 pm -10:45 pm – Shuttles to The Roadhouse where the Aftergrad will take place. Please note that you do not need to wait for the shuttles.

Here are answers to some other FAQs:

What do parents go to?
Parents can go to the Iron Ring Ceremony at 1:30pm (no ticket required) and the Banquet at 5:30pm (given you got tickets for them). The workshops in the morning are for students only. Also be advised that if your parents are late for the Iron Ring Ceremony they will not be let into the room. Once they close the doors they won't open them until the ceremony is over so BE THERE EARLY!

What's happening with Aftergrad tickets?
You get one free Aftergrad ticket for each banquet ticket you purchased (If you did not receive your banquet tickets via email – contact ess at ucalgary.ca<mailto:ess at ucalgary.ca>). You can redeem your Aftergrad tickets at the banquet by showing your banquet e-tickets at the registration table. They're good for no line no cover until 11pm and include one free drink!

If you didn't purchase banquet tickets but wish to attend the Aftergrad, you should try to get them from someone who's going to the banquet but not using their Aftergrad tickets (i.e. parent's tickets). Aftergrad tickets will not be sold separately.

The Aftergrad is not a private function so in the case you can't get tickets you can always go to The Roadhouse on your own. You'll just have to wait in line and pay for cover.
