Hello Marjan Eggermont,

My name is Alistair Shipley and I’m a student from Mount Royal University. Thank you in advance for even opening this email because we have never met. I came across your email address while researching engineering departments for a current business idea. Currently I’m working to find the right engineering style for the design of an outdoor camping tent idea. I’ve unfortunately had a difficult time narrowing down what kind of engineer we need to design this outdoor tent. We first thought a material engineer would be best because we are dealing with textiles, but then we also need this tent to withstand various structural needs (wind, snow, etc). There is also a need for the overall design of this camping tent (this is how we came across your email on the U of C website).

Considering we have never personally met I do not expect anything, but maybe your expertise on engineering can help us narrow down what style of engineering.
