Hello Students of Civil Engineering,

Another year is upon us and on behalf of the 2013 – 2014 Civil Engineering
Undergraduate Society (CEUS) Executives, I’d like to welcome all of the
returning Civils back and to those in 2nd year, congratulations on your
excellent department selection.

There will be lots of things going on this year for CEUS but for now I am
just going to update you about DESK/LOCKER SALES and FROSH WEEK.

DESK/LOCKER SALES:

Description: Desks and lockers in the Civil homerooms (located 3rd floor F
Block) are rented out for the year to students as their designated work
space.

When/Where: We will start selling to  3rd/4th year students at 7:00 AM on
Monday September 9th in the hallway of the homerooms. On the Unlikely
chance that desks do not all sellout, Desk & Locker sales may open up to
2nd years at a later date.

DESK RENTAL ($60) INCLUDES: 1 desk, 1 locker, CEUS membership, CSCE
membership, 2014 ENGG Week T-shirt.

LOCKER RENTAL ($20) INCLUDES: 1 locker, CEUS membership, 2014 ENGG WEEK
T-shirt

NO RESERVATIONS
FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE
1 DESK PER PERSON

FROSH WEEK:

When: September 9th – 13th

Description: During the first week of classes for the fall semester there
is some friendly competition between ENGG departments that go on during
the week that are aimed at getting Frosh introduced to each department and
older students.  I have attached a schedule for the week so everyone can
come out and support Civil!

Theme: The theme for Civil Engineering this year for Frosh Week is “Up All
Night to Get Civil” based off the song “Get Lucky” by Daft Punk. Make sure
you wear orange all week since that’s Civil’s colour this year!  We will
be blasting the song all week and have plenty of swag to share.

We won Frosh Week last year so let’s do it again!
