Q. Do I require TOEFL or IELTS if I attended an international university
that has English as the medium of instruction?
A. Yes, TOEFL or IELTS is a requirement.
Q. If my TOEFL or IELTS score is below the department requirement can I get
admission still?

Q. How do I get information on GPA requirements?

PhD: 3.5 / 4.0
MSc: 3.0 / 4.0
MEng: 3.0 / 4.0
Q. How long does it take to complete the program (PhD, MSc, MEng)?
A. Information on the duration of our programs is listed on our website

Q. Are there funding opportunities?
A. Yes, for students applying for MSc or PhD. There are no funding
opportunities for MEng applicants/students.
Q. What kind of courses are available?
A. Graduate courses vary from session to session and year to year, ALTHOUGH
we do have a complete list of courses on our website with a brief
description. 600 and 700 level courses are graduate courses.

Q. How much will it cost me to study at the University of Calgary?
A. At the department level we do not handle tuition fees but we encourage
you to visit the Faculty of Graduate Studies website:

Q. I am an international student. Can I apply for your MEng program?
A. No. We only accept permanent residents or Canadian citizens into our MEng
program.
