[ENCI-l] CLUB - GRAD BANQUET: CLASS HISTORIANS/SPEAKERS NEEDED

TO ALL 4TH/5TH YEAR ENGG STUDENTS

 

To all graduating students:

The 2012 Graduation Banquet will be held on March 24, 2012 and the grad
committee is looking for people who are interested in participating in the
ceremonies.  If you are interested in being involved or learning more,
please reply to your department's grad rep or the grad director (names and
emails are listed below). The following are the positions we are looking to
fill:

1. Master of Ceremonies - one male student and one female student to
introduce each speaker and make any pertinent announcements.
2. Professor Award Presenter - one student to present the professor award to
the chosen professor from each department.
3. Toast to the Parents - one student to deliver a toast to the parents.
4. Toast to the Professors - one or two students to deliver a toast to the
professors.
5. Toast to the Volunteers - one or two students to deliver a toast to all
of the volunteers.
6. Class Historians - one or two students to reflect on the past four or
five or six years in an entertaining and professional way.  Presentations
are often made  in the form of power point, video, or just a slide show.  It
is good practice to avoid highly specific events as the presentations are
meant to  be understood by the entire audience (not just your department).

Also, if you are interested but afraid to write your own speech...no
worries!  There will be lots of people to help you.  This is our last event
before we are done school, so get involved and make it an event to remember!
