[ENCI-l] ACADEMIC: 4th Year Students - Winter Graduation

Are you finishing your degree requirements during the fall 2011 or winter
2012 this year? 

Students completing degree requirements during the fall 2011 semester need
to apply for graduation by December 31, 2011. When you apply to graduate,
select Expected Graduation Term as Fall 2011. This indicates that you will
complete all of your degree requirements by December 23, 2011. We will
review your academic status in January to verify and approve your
graduation. Verification of completion of your degree will appear on your
official transcript later in February, although there will be NO convocation
ceremony. Students who complete graduation requirements in fall 2011 are
eligible to participate in the June 2012 convocation ceremonies and will
receive their degree then. Please do not choose Fall 2011 graduation term if
you will not be finished your degree requirements by December 23.

If you expect to complete your degree requirements at the end of the winter
term (i.e., April 2012), then the deadline to apply for graduation is
February 1, 2012. When you apply to graduate, you will choose Winter 2012 as
your Expected Graduation Term. In May, we will review your record to verify
and approve you for graduation. You will then be eligible to participate in
the June 2012 Convocation.
