EWB PRESENTS: Global Engineering Lecture Series Kickoff by United Way
Guest Speaker!!

Heather McDonald is our first scheduled speaker for the Global Engineering
Speaker Series. She will be providing a lecture at 5:00pm on Wednesday
November 9th, 2011 in ICT 116.

Please RSVP to Shannon (krochenski at gmail.com) by Monday November 7th.

Heather McDonald is an acting member on the Board of Directors of United
Way Calgary and Area as Chief Operating Officer and Vice President.

United Way is focused on community impact. This can be done through
changing social conditions and creating opportunities for a better life
for individuals, families and communities. Their main goal is for our
communities to be measurably better off in a way that is sustainable.

The focus of the Global Engineering Speaker Series will be *Contributing to
Society*. The goal of this topic is to define how individuals can connect to
community through continuous learning & purposeful leadership.
Providing insight into the role engineers as global leaders and how we can
go about tackling some of the biggest challenges facing local and global
communities.

Refreshments will be served.
