[ENCI-l] ACADEMIC - 4th Year Students - Winter 2012 Graduation

TO ALL 4th YEAR STUDENTS WHO WILL COMPLETE DEGREE REQUIREMENTS BY DECEMBER
31, 2011

 

You should soon receive information from the University about the addition
of a Winter graduation in February 2012. Although there will be no
Convocation Ceremony, students who complete degree requirements will be
deemed to officially graduate and will have their transcript reflect that
status. You will also be eligible to attend the Convocation Ceremony in
June.

 

If you believe that you will complete your degree requirements by the end of
December 2011, you can apply to graduate online beginning Monday, September
26 (or shortly thereafter).  Deadline to apply for Winter graduation is
December 1. The Schulich School of Engineering Undergraduate Studies
Committee will then meet in late January to review and approve candidates
for graduation. It is expected that you will get confirmation of your
graduation by February 17 and that your transcript will then show that you
have graduated. We also anticipate that your degree certificate will also be
available sometime after that date, although we have not been able to
confirm that for sure at this point.

 

If you expect to complete your degree requirements by the end of the Winter
2012 term (April 2012), please wait with applying for graduation until
January 2012. The deadline to apply for Spring graduation will be February
1, 2012.
