We are looking for volunteers for Women in Engineering (WIE) Day 2010 and
would really appreciate it  if you could help us out! This year, WIE Day is
scheduled for Wednesday, February 17, 2010 and we need your help make this
great event a success.

Women in Engineering Day is a fun and exciting annual event designed to
introduce Grade 10 and 11 young women to career opportunities in
engineering. Components include a design contest, department demonstrations,
lunch, and a panel discussion led by successful female engineers from
industry. The event will be held at the U of C and will run from 8am - 3pm
on Feb. 17. 

This conference, run by the Women's Advancement Office and the Gender &
Diversity in Engineering Committee (GDEC), is successful because of the many
wonderful volunteers who generously contribute their time, experience, and
expertise. Not only are these volunteers critical to the success of the
event, they act as important role models to the young women who participate
in the event. We welcome both male and female volunteers. Benefits of
volunteering include: a Women in Engineering Day T-shirt, free parking on
Feb. 17, coffee and light breakfast on Feb. 17, lunch on Feb. 17, and a
letter of reference on request.

We need volunteers to fill positions in three categories: 1) Registration
Helpers; 2) Group Leaders; and 3) Design Competition Helpers.
