[ENCI-l] CSCE Water Centre Tour

To all Civil Engineering Students,


Have you ever driven south of the Stampede Grounds and seen that arched 
building and wondered what it is? 
Well it is the *City of Calgary's Water Centre* and it is the largest 
Green Building initiative for the City of Calgary. The building is Gold 
LEED certified, it is 95% day lit and it operates with 58% savings in 
annual energy consumption. 

CSCE has planned a tour and a presentation of the building on *March 1st 
*from *1:00PM- 4:00PM.* The design, the structural elements of the 
building and the water management strategies will be explained by 
members from the City of Calgary and by structural engineers from RJC. 
Transportation will be provided to and from the university.

If you would like to attend this tour, *please RSVP by Feb 15th *with 
your name, email and phone number. Space is limited so please RSVP early!
