Good Morning Engineers,

 

We hope you all had a great winter break and a happy new year! PES would
like to welcome you back to another semester of school. If you haven't
already signed up, but would still like to become PES members, you can pick
up a membership form package from ESS to fill out. A $20 membership fee is
required, but it will gain you full access to all of our events. 

 

Just to give you a glimpse of what we have planned for this semester, we'd
like to bring your attention to our upcoming O&G 101 sessions on Jan 28th
and Feb 4th. If you are wondering what engineers do in the petroleum
industry, here is your chance to find out as well as meet a few of them!
Please see the information below for our Jan 28th session.

 

Oil and Gas "On-Stream" Information Session

 

Who: 

*	Fekete, 
*	ConocoPhillips Canada, 
*	Apache Canada
*	Students - ALL STUDENTS ARE WELCOME (PES Members get some special
swag!)

 

What: 3 educational 20 minute learning series focusing on exploitation of
resources during the life of a well

Fekete - Reservoir Engineering 

What do Res Engineers do? - Well Testing, decline analysis, simulation, and
more!

 

ConocoPhillips - Production Operations Engineering
What do Ops Engineers do? - IPR Curves, liquid loading, compression, pumps,
and more!

 

Apache - Facilities Engineering
What do Facilities Engineers do? - Water knock out units, compressors,
separators, and more!

 

Where:  MacEwan Student Hall - Bianca Room 
When: January 28th 5:30 - 7:00 PM

Food and Beverages will be provided!

There will also be a draw, so if you are a PES member please be sure to show
up!
