Centennial Scholarship Award 2009

Details about our Scholarship program are as follows:

 

Five $2,000 Scholarships will be awarded to deserving students registered in
full-time Canadian post-secondary institutions. 

 

Students may apply in either the region where they attend university, if
they have attended that institution for a minimum two years or in the region
of their permanent residence. Students may not apply to two regions. 

 

Field of Study:

 

Open to all, intending to pursue career in Public Transit. Including; Urban
Planning, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Land Use Planning,
Transportation /Transportation Management, Geography.

 

Submission Requirements:

 

Along with an application, resume, and academic transcripts, students must
also send a 750 word (maximum) essay on the following:

 

 "At the end of your formal education/training you begin your job search. A
position in the public transit industry is available. What is the title of
the position?  What skills will you bring to the role? What insights have
you gained during your education that will help you in this role and why
will you be a valuable contributor to this industry?"
