EWB has a couple of events coming up this week that you may be interested
in.
 
World Water Day Presentation
EWB Presents Dr. David Manz for a World Water Day Presentation
March 18, at 6:00pm in ST 128






 
"Dr. David Manz is an example of an Albertan who has used his ingenuity to
help others. In addition to forming a company to manufacture his invention
(the BioSand Water Filter), he has established a charity to share its
benefits with those in developing countries." - In honour of World Water
Day, Dr.  Manz will be sharing his insights and experiences with water
issues in the developing world. There will be a question and answer period
following the presentation. 






This is an excellent opportunity to learn from the experiences of a leading
expert in the field of water resources. Anyone interested in applying
engineering knowledge to humanitarian causes should attend!
 
 
Save Water, Drink Beer! (March 20, Cowboys)
 
EWB's first cab of the year is this Friday, March 20 and we're celebrating
water. A $5 ticket gets you no line, no cover (before 10pm), and one free
drink at Cowboys. Tickets can be purchased in the ESS office, by emailing
<mailto:ewb at ucalgary.ca> ewb at ucalgary.ca or from an EWB Exec. All proceeds
go to EWB.
