[ENCI-l] Schulich Showcase/Open House- CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS

Hello all Schulich Engineering students,

 

The 2009 Engineering Open House is quickly approaching, and I am looking for
volunteers for the event, which is being held on Saturday April 4th. The
purpose of the event is to give high school students with early admission
the opportunity to spend a day learning about and exploring the Schulich
School of Engineering.

 

The volunteers are needed on the day of the open house from roughly
8:30-4:30, as well as to attend a short training session a few days

before. The volunteer positions that need to be filled include:

 

-Group Leaders

-Prize Patrol

-Lunch Volunteers

-Design Competition

-Fun Factor

-Floaters (helping out where needed)

-Welcoming

 

If you are interested in volunteering, please email me back at
kmkublik at ucalgary.ca (do not reply to this email). Please include your

full name, the position(s) you may be interested in, year of study,
department, and T-SHIRT SIZE. If you could include a bit about any

previous volunteer experience, that would be great. The Open House has been
a popular event with volunteers in the

past, so selection of volunteers will be first come, first serve. Please
note, however, that the selection for the different roles will be

partially based on previous experience and year of study. The deadline to
respond will be MONDAY MARCH 9th.
