On behalf of the Petroleum and Energy Society (PES), we would like to
 invite you to apply for a great opportunity to attend a trip to the
 Society of Petroleum Engineers Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition
 (SPE ATCE) 2008 Conference in Denver, Colorado from September 20-24. This
 conference is the SPE's milestone event; it will expose YOU to all
 different aspects of the petroleum industry through technical talks, panel
 discussions, networking dinners, and hands on learning from the
exhibitors.


Qualifications for the trip include the following:

- Must be entering your 4th or 5th year (ie. graduating year) of
engineering studies.
- Must have previous petroleum industry experience and are looking to
 pursue a career in the petroleum industry.
- Must be prepared to personally fund up to $300 to cover the costs of
 the
 trip.
- If selected, must be prepared to make a $100 deposit up front.


All applications will be fairly evaluated by a selected committee; meaning
 that all applicants' names will be replaced by a number and then
evaluated. This will be done to secure the integrity of the evaluation
 process. There will be four applicants selected to attend this trip.
