[ENCI-l] Very important exam information

Deferred Examinations are allowed for  the following circumstances ONLY:
Illness
Domestic Affliction
Religious Conviction

Travel arrangements, vacation plans, employment situations and misreading
of the Final Examination Timetable are not grounds for deferring a final
examination.

Applications for Deferral of Final Examinations may be obtained in the
Office of the Registrar or can be downloaded from the link:

Once the form is complete, it should be taken to the Associate Dean of the
Faculty offering the course. The authority to grant or deny a Deferred
Final Examination is vested with the Associate Dean of the Faculty
offering the course and will not be granted if it is determined that you
have not shown just cause.

Please note that you must notify the Undergraduate Office within 48 hours
of the missed exam so we can document the absence. We would prefer if you
notify us through email (engginfo at ucalgary.ca).

All requests for deferral of a Final Examination due to health reasons
must be accompanied by a completed Physician/Counsellor Statement form,
available from the Office of the Registrar or at:

Letters from a Physician/Counsellor in lieu of a Physician/Counsellor
Statement form will not be accepted. Please see the instructions on the
form for more information.

December 21, 2007 is the student application deadline for deferred exams.

Deferred exam dates: January 24 - 26, 2008.
