Dear Engineering Students

ENGG LOUNGE RENOVATIONS

My name is Marielle Flottat, and along with Mandy Dulop we are Engineering
Students' Society representatives for the Engineering Lounge renovations.
The ENGG Lounge, located in on the first floor of E-Block, is undergoing
renovations. We had anticipated that this would be completed for the start
of the fall 2007 semester, but unfortunately due to complications in the
construction and budget the opening day has been postponed.

Therefore during this time, the ENGG Lounge will not be available for
students, and POETS will continue on Fridays from 3-6 held in a different
location - more information to follow. Access through E-block on the first
floor will be restricted due to construction.

To get you all excited, here is a list of what is being done to the ENGG
Lounge. We anticipate that the lounge will be ready for November, however,
please note that this date could change.

    * Better Lighting
    * More electrical plugs
    * Carpet removed
    * New Ceiling
    * Planters removed, new separation in place
    * More seating & tables available
    * New furniture
    * New Paint

Over $350,000 has been invested in this renovation, and we ask that
everyone demonstrates respect for this space for everyone to enjoy in the
present and in the years to come.

Cannon, the Design team, and the Deans Office

ESS Office
The ESS office is also undergoing renovations, and had relocated
temporarily. We anticipate that the new office will be open near the end
of November
