Hello All,
We have a couple of very exciting things happening tonight with
Engineers Without Borders and we hope that you will be able to join us.
1. SPECIAL PRESENTATION: "Ending the Cycle of Poverty"
Time: 5:00-6:00pm
Date: Monday, Oct 1

George Roter, the Co-CEO and Co-founder of Engineers Without Borders, is
a frequent speaker at conferences and events across North America. In
2005 he was named one of Canada's Top 40 Under 40 in 2005. He was
awarded a prestigious Action Canada Fellowship on public policy in 2004,
adding to previous awards for his work with EWB. He has been featured by
TIME Magazine as one of Canada's next generation of social leaders.
This presentation will also feature Anne Chung, a Civil Engineering
student and a recently returned overseas volunteer from Malawi, who will
be sharing stories from her experiences this summer, entitled "The Joys
and Tribulations of Development." She worked with Total Landcare Malawi,
a local non-profit organization that works to improve the livelihoods of
small scale farmers through community based natural resource management.
