Subject: GNCTR 2008 First General Meeting

Hello Everyone,

We are getting ready for The Great Northern Concrete Toboggan race (GNCTR)
2008 and as the project manager,  I would like to invite all of you civil
engineers to our first general meeting which is held on Wednesday March
21st, 07 in ENF 308 from 5:00 – 6:00.

GNCTR is a national competition in which engineering schools from all over
Canada compete. It is a 5 day event and it is held in February of each
year at different cities. This year it is happening in Halifax.  We are
going to design and build a 300 lb toboggan with concrete running surfaces
and a metal frame in which 5 team members ride down a ski hill at speeds
up to 60 km/h...  There is a lot of benefit to join GNCTR that we will
cover in the meeting.

Who can join this team?
Anybody who is a full time student in Fall 07 and Winter 08 is welcomed to
join.
If you are on internship currently or planning to go on internship
starting this summer, you are also welcomed to join GNCTR 2008.

If you're interested but can't make it on Wednesday, please send me an
e-mail.
We're going to start to establish groups at this meeting and if you don't
let me know that you're interested you might be left out.  So let me know!
If you are interested to take any of executive positions, let me know
prior to the meeting or during the meeting.

There is also a possibility that a number of students get course credit
through GNCTR so if you are interested make sure to attend the meeting.

This meeting will cover:
•	What is GNCTR
•	How to get ready for it
•	Establish groups
•	PICK A THEME (so think about a theme to suggest at the meeting)
