Hello students!

By now I'm sure most of you have noticed that there has been some 
changes to the doors. Namely, new locks! We are in the process of 
implementing a card-proximity system which will use your UofC ID cards.

Two things you should note:
Firstly, OLD UofC ID cards will not work in this system. These include 
any gold-coloured cards. If you have a gold coloured card ( or an older 
coloured one ) you will have to see campus security for new ones. As 
long as you bring your old cards, campus security WILL NOT charge you 
for new ones.

Secondly, there will be a $30.00 fee for use of the new doors. When the 
system is ready, we ask that you RETURN YOUR KEYS to these doors - as 
they no longer work. As long as you bring your keys + receipt you will 
receive your $50 deposit back - which you can then use toward your $30 
fee for the swipe system access. Please be aware, the $30 fee is 
non-refundable.

For now, you will still have access to these doors. WHEN WE ARE READY TO 
PROCESS YOUR NEW ACCESS, AN E-MAIL WILL BE SENT OUT. PLEASE WAIT UNTIL 
YOU RECEIVE THAT E-MAIL BEFORE COMING TO THE OFFICE.
