The UofC Petroleum Club is having a presentation on Introduction to
Completions Engineering.

Time: 12 - 1 pm
Date: Tuesday, Oct. 31st
Joe Weir and Jen Reid from Devon Canada will be presenting on this topic.
The presenters will be talking about the high-speed and often challenging
discipline of completions. They will be touching on the different types of
completions in the industry, the basics behind a completion job, the
differets types of tools and jewellery run in hole, etc.
Joe started working with Devon when he graduated from with a degree in
chemical engineering at U of A in 2004. Since then, he has been doing
completions engineering for Swan Hills, Red Earth, and shallow gas
properties north of Red Earth.
Jen Reid graduated from U of C in 2005 and has been responsible for
completions in Devon's Peace River Arch area with properties located north
of Grande Prairie. Recently, she has been evaluating hydraulic fracture
stimulations and working to optimize future treatments.
