Dear Students:

Would you like to gain experience public speaking? Would you like to go
back and visit your Calgary high school and talk with grade 12 students?

We are currently recruiting engineering students to volunteer with the
fall High School Presentations. These run mid-October through
mid-December in Calgary schools. Each day-time presentation is about 35
to 45 minutes in length (plus travel time to the school), and involves
the Coordinator of Recruitment, a faculty member, and one or two current
engineering students. We use a PowerPoint presentation to talk about
the Schulich School of Engineering, including:

The Schulich naming
The scholarships, admission process and required courses
The 9 departments and specializations
Opportunities with an engineering degree
Student Life

Interested in helping out?

We will be hosting an information session on Thursday, October 12,
5:00-6:00pm in ENE 328. Bring your calendar with you to see if any of
the visits fit your schedule.

Thank you,
Jennifer
