Want to gain some international internship experience?
Consider applying for RISE – Research Internships in Science &
Engineering in Germany.
The following information is being passed on from the DAAD office in New
York.
The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is the German national
agency for international cooperation in higher education. They have 400
internship offers in Germany this year and will be able to provide
scholarships for 150 undergraduate students from the US & Canada. *142
of the available internships this year are in engineering fields
including mechanical, chemical, civil, and software.* No German language
ability is required and the students will be working on serious research
projects at the top institutes (Max Planck, Leibniz, Fraunhofer, etc.)
and universities in Germany.
*The deadline for applications is **1 February 2006***. Interested
students can visit http://www.daad.org/rise to view all the available
internships and apply, but the application materials *do need to be in
**Germany** by the deadline* so time is getting short.
