*_ATTENTION ALL ENGINEERING STUDENTS_*

If you are interested in *earning a complimentary study or two this 
summer AND learning a second language* then there a couple of exchange 
opportunuties that you should be interested in.
(***Note that the deadlines on any U of C pages have not yet been 
updated for 2006 but deadlines are similar from year to year)


*1) HONG KONG* 
Learn Putongua and Chinese Culture at Hong Kong Polytechnic University 
and *earn 1 complimentary study credit*
Length of Program: *4 weeks in July *followed by an optional 2 week 
program in Beijing in August

*2) GERMANY*
*a)  STUTTGART*
Learn German and choose from 5 option courses on European Art and 
Architecture, Cross-Cultural Communication, Transportation and Urban 
Planning, or German Current Events and *earn 1 or 2 complimentary 
studies credits*.
(Civil Engg students may be able to earn credit for ENCI 473)

Length of Program: *6 weeks from mid May to end of June*

*b) ULM *(midway between Stuttgart and Munich)
This is a *new opportunity for this year* and tuition fees in Ulm will 
be waived.
Learn German and Economic Policy of collaboration in Europe and *earn 1 
or 2 complimentary studies credits*. An option in physics (lab 
exercises) is also available.//

Length of Program: *8 weeks from beginning of June  to end of July*
*Costs?* Program is similar to Stuttgart except that the fee is 869 Euro 
(longer program than Stuttgart).
