*TO ALL FOURTH YEAR GRADUATING STUDENTS:*
*_RE: EIC ENGINEERING STUDENT OF THE YEAR MEDAL_*
The EIC medal is awarded annually to a graduating student in Engineering
and is based on the following criteria:
*Academic merit = 50%*
*Demonstrated technical or practical aptitude = 25%*
*Extra-curricular activities = 25%*
The *Academic 2006 meri*t will be decided upon the basis of final grades
for the Fall 2004/Winter2005, Fall 2005/Winter 2006 academic years and a
minimum GPA of 3.50 in each year is required.
*For students who were on Internship in Fall 2004/Winter 2005* the final
grades for the Fall 2003/Winter2004, Fall 2005/Winter 2006 will be used
for the calculation.
If you believe you meet the above criteria and wish to be considered for
this award please apply in writing to Sandy Thompson, Undergraduate
Studies Office C204 by *April 13th.* Please submit your application in a
_résumé format_, providing information on the three areas:
*(Academic merit, Technical or Practical aptitude, and Extra-curricular
activities).*
A committee will determine the recipient of the award. All information
provided will be kept in confidence.
