Dear Undergraduate Engineering Students,

Every year we hold our annual Alberta Biomedical Engineering Conference
- a weekend retreat in Banff at The Banff Centre. Graduate students
from UofC, UofA and a few from UBC present their Biomedical Engineering
research either by podium or poster (last year 37 podium and 27
posters). Also we have 3 world renowned Biomedical Engineers come to
talk about their research in Biomedical Engineering. The Conference
starts with an informal Reception Friday evening and ends Sunday
afternoon.

Alberta Ingenuity Fund (AIF) has agreed to pay all Conference
registration fees (which includes a shared room and all meals) to 10
undergraduate students in the Province of Alberta to attend this
Conference. The purpose is to give those who 'may' be interested in the
field of Biomedical Engineering a taste of what it is all about. It is
a great opportunity if you are considering a career in Biomedical
Engineering. Note: you do not have to be in the BME Specialization.

The AIF Undergraduate Awards Poster and the Application form (which you
will need to fill out if you are interested) is on our website (see
yellow box on homepage).

Also on that same site is a copy of the Preliminary Announcement of the
6th Alberta Biomedical Engineering Conference - Banff 2005.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
