Hello Chacmoolians!

 

Another year is upon us but that means all of the Chacmool fun is just
beginning! To start off the year Chacmool will be at Clubs Week on Friday
September 23. You can find us at table 4 which is in the North Courtyard
just up from the stairs. Come out and grab a membership and visit with the
Chacmool team! Another great opportunity to meet the Chacmool executive is
by visiting us in our office in Earth Sciences 826. Our office hours are:

Jared Sellard-Sopczak - Tuesdays 11:00-12:00

Brandon Horrell - Wednesday 12:00- 1:00

Allison Johnston - Thursday 2:00-3:00

Ella Pedersen - Friday 11:00-12:00

 

While these are our "scheduled" hours, we are often in the office outside
these hours, so feel free to stop by and ask questions or just come by and
visit! In addition to our office on the 8th floor in Earth Sciences there
are a couple other great spaces. The common room is a space on the 8th floor
for students to come socialize, eat, and study. There is also the Reading
Room which is another great space to study and read.

 

And finally (because I'm sure you're tired of hearing from me already) I
will quickly mention Chacmool's 49th Annual Archaeological Conference. This
year's theme is Archaeology of Taboo, and the committee is still accepting
paper and session submissions. If you are interested in submitting an
abstract you can do so though the conference's webpage
