[Chacmool-l] Chacmool Conference, Volunteers, and Brains?

Hello Chacmoolians!

 

Chacmool has a lot going on in the next while!

*         Chacmool's 49th Annual Conference is less than a month away! If
you are interested in volunteering, Chacmool is now looking for people to
sign up for the roles of sessional attendant, merchandise attendant,
registration attendant, and floater. If you are interested in volunteering
or want to know more about each of the roles you can email us or come visit
us in ES 826. 

*         October 20 the Chacmool Conference Planning Committee is hosting a
bake sale to raise money for the conference, so come out and by some
delicious treats!

*         Volunteers who have given 6 hours of their time get into the 49th
Annual Chacmool Conference for FREE! The 6 hours can be from volunteering at
the conference itself, baking for the bake sale on October 20 (counts for 3
hours), or manning the table at the bake sale.

*         Chacmool is now accepting proposal submissions for the 50th Annual
Conference (next year's). This is a great opportunity to chair or co-chair
one of the largest student run archaeology conferences in North America.
Talk about bragging rights! Submissions can be emailed or dropped off at the
Chacmool office. If you are interested in chairing but are not sure about
ideas come up to the office and we can talk!

*         Its midterm season, so I am sure many of us are feeling quite
Zombie-like by this point. Well hobble over to ES 859 on October 28 for
brrraaaiins- I mean snacks and Halloween Trivia. This is a joint event
between the Graduate Anthropology and Archaeology Students Association
(GAASA) and Chacmool, so it's a great time to meet other people in the
department.
