Hi all!

1. Chacmool Candy Grams

Do you have a sweetheart in the Arky department and don't know what to get
them for Valentines Day? We, at Chacmool, have got you covered! For the
low low price of just $3 you can send your loved ones (or liked ones for
those who are not yet in love) a chocolate projectile point, some candy
and a lovely message! The only catch is the candy gram recipient must be
in an arky class on Valentines Day! All you have to do is drop by ES 826
with your $3 (or more if you have a lot of love to give) provide us with
your name ( if you want) the name of your sweetheart and what class
they'll be in on Valentines Day. We will do the rest!

2 Cultural Heritage Studies in Mexico

The Cultural Heritage Study Program includes a multidisciplinary approach
to the study of the Maya area. The program is composed of three half
courses including: the Urban landscape managing and development of cities
in the region, a critical review of the management of archaeological
heritage, tourism and community development.-If you are interested in this
and want more info visit the Chacmool office or Dr. Reese-Taylor for a
pamphlet!

3. Noon Hour Lecture
This Wednesday's Noon hour lecture is titledProducing Inequality in the
Casas Grandes
Regional System. It will be giving by Dr. Jerimy Cunningham an Assistant
Professor at the
Department of Anthropology University of Lethbridge. Check out the poster
for more details!

4.50th SWFAS Symposium
Attatched to this email is an invitation to theSouthwestern Federation of
Archeological Societies 50th Symposium Saturday, on May 3, 2014 from 9:00
- 4:30. Including in this invitation is a call for abstracts. Check it
out!

5.Young Canada Works link

Everyone must check this out! One of Chacmool's own and a recent U of C
Archaeology graduate. Sheila Lacy got a job with Parks Canada from this
site earlier in her degree! Also Your current president Brooke Gerard
found a job in museums four consecutive summers through Young Canada
Works! It's a federal program to place students in summer jobs related to
their
degrees, basically. Heritage Canada and the National Trust have been
working to
create more jobs in the heritage sector, and they had 60+ placements last
summer,
which is awesome!
