What to expect in this e-mail

3)	Chacmool’s Meet and Greet - Wine and Cheese (and Chocolate) – Friday,
Sept. 28 from 4pm to 7pm in RM ES 859

1)	Chacmool Memberships
Chacmool Memberships are now available at the Chacmool office ES 826
during office hours OR you can drop by and see us on Friday, September
21st from 9am – 3pm at our Clubs Week booth. So the money part ☺.
It’s $10 for a yearly membership, $50 for a lifetime membership. As a
bonus, the Archaeological Society of Alberta (ASA) has offered us a sweet
deal – when you sign up for your Chacmool membership you can also get your
ASA membership for just another $10 (regularly $20).
So what does handing over that dough to us do for you? Well, you get
events, discounts on Chamool merchandise, all the perks and discounts of
being a member of a SU club (you get a SU club card when you sign up), and
access to member exclusive competitions.

2)	*WORKSHOP* SSHRC Funding Application Workshop
Dr. Kathryn Reese-Taylor and Don Butler have kindly offered to host a
SSHRC Application Workshop on Wednesday, September 19, from 12 – 1 in Room
859. If you are a 4th or 5th year undergrad student, have plans of forging
onwards into the world of graduate studies and would like to learn how to
apply for this funding. Bring your lunch (Tea and coffee provided) and
learn the ins and outs of this competitive process. The department
deadline for this funding application is OCTOBER 14th!

3)	*EVENT* Chacmool’s Meet and Greet - Wine and Cheese (and Chocolate)
Friday, September 28th 4pm -7pm, RM ES 859
Each semester Chacmool hosts a meet and greet. This is a great opportunity
to mix and mingle with department faculty, graduate students and other
undergrads.  Chacmool executives will be wearing name-tags, please don’t
hesitate to introduce yourselves to us, we’d be happy to help introduce
you to others.

4)	Volunteers
The Chacmool Association is putting out the call and we hope you pick up!!
Volunteering is a great way to meet new cohorts and help the association
out in the process. Your hours can also be counted towards your U of C
co-curricular activities. Please contact the office at
chacmool at ucalgary.ca if interested. We are currently looking for
volunteers for the following:
- WEBSITE : We are looking for a person who would be willing to help us
update, revamp, overhaul
I’m sure you get the idea
our website.
- EVENT HELPERS: There are all sorts of things that need to be done for
events, from set up to take down, to making posters, to hosting the
membership table, and oodles of other jobs that would make the organizers
very happy☺

5)	Office Hours
Office hours for the fall semester are: Mon.1 pm – 2 pm, Wed. & Fri. 11am-
12pm and Thurs. 12pm -1pm. Feel free to drop by and say “HI”.
