Attention Chacmool members!

Winter Semester is approaching rapidly, and along with it... Spring break!
That may seem a bit far off in some of your minds, especially with exam
pressure at this time of year, but if your reading break looks a little
empty or bleak, I may have an offer you can't refuse!

There is a course being offered for the duration of our spring break that
not only gives you an experience of a lifetime, but you earn course credit
as well. Indigenous Studies 312 runs for the full 10 day break, and
immerses you into life within a Maya community. By traveling down to the
Yucatan Peninsula, you will be able to witness first hand the daily
activities in the current community of Xmaben, take trips to ancient Maya
centers such as Tikal, as well as many other once in a lifetime
experiences!

If this course seems like something that would interest you, or if you
would simply like to hear more information, please contact Christina Pitre
(cmpitre at ucalgary.ca).

Good luck on your exams!
