Title: What are the ``Models'' of Model Theory?
Abstract: Model theory, which often appears to reside midway between mathematics
and formal logic, has recently made significant contributions to pure mathematics; in
particular to number theory and differential algebra. In this talk I will define ``theories’'
and their associated ``models'' in purely set-theoretic terms in an attempt to open the
subject up to a wider audience.
All are welcome!
