I was talking with a student interested in the program <i>You Can't Do That On Television</i>, produced in Ottawa from 1979 to 1990, but better known for its syndication in the U.S. on Nickelodeon.</div>

Years ago I published an article about the program, but I haven't looked at it much since, so I didn't have a good answer to one of the student's questions, namely whether archives of the show — master tapes, production notes, basically anything — exist and,
if so, where. The show was produced by CJOH (and later co-produced with Nickelodeon), which is now part of the CTV network.</div>

Would anyone happen to know whether such archives exist? The student (currently at the University of Southern California) is hoping to come to Ottawa to do research, but knowing that there were actually materials to be found would really help the process of
writing an intent letter for funding.</div>
