>From Solidarity for Palestinian Human Rights:

 

Solidarity for Palestinian Human Rights, along with Justice for Palestinians, will be hosting a
Culture Night on October 3rd, 2014 in ICT 102 @ the University of Calgary, featuring a live
performance from renowned activist and poet Remi Kanazi. 

The evening will be spent showcasing traditional Palestinian food and culture, as well as compelling
performances from Remi Kanazi and other talented local poets and musicians. Remi Kanazi's
performance will be followed by a traditional dabke performance - a traditional Palestinian dance
that is fun for beginners and professionals alike! Traditional Palestinian food will also be
provided.

Time: 6PM
Room: ICT 102
Admission: FREE! (donations will be accepted, tickets at the door). 

Program
6-6:30pm: Reception and Food! 
6:45pm: Welcome speech and performances by talented local artists/musicians/poets
7-8pm: Featured poet, Remi Kanazi! 
8-8:30pm: More local performances
8:30 on: Dancing! (dabke) - everyone is welcome to join! 

Please note that if you're fasting, food will be available throughout the event!
