I wanted to take the opportunity to introduce you to two of the exciting new programs being offered
through the Leadership and Student Engagement Office this Fall, as well as registration information
about one of our longstanding programs.

 

Leadership Advising Program

The Leadership and Student Engagement Office launched a unique and exciting new Leadership Advising
Program this Fall. Using the StrengthsFinder tool, students will have the opportunity to learn their
individual and unique strengths, and in particular their "Top 5" themes of talent. After completing
their Strengths assessment, students will meet with a University of Calgary staff member to develop
an individualized LEAD Plan and to set goals, which will help them continue to develop their

Leadership on Demand

With more than 30 workshops to choose from, the Leadership on Demand program offers uniquely
tailored training programs for student groups on-campus, across disciplines and departments.
Workshops are specifically tailored by content and delivery to the diverse needs of each team.
Workshops include Communication, Conflict Resolution and Body Language, and tools include
StrengthsFinder, Myers-Briggs and True Colors. Find out more here

University of Calgary Leadership (UCL) Program

Leaders are not just the politicians and activists we see in the headlines. Every day we can find
opportunities to take the lead in our own lives and communities. Through the UCL, the university's
formal leadership training program, you can complete certificates in Personal, Team, Community and
Organizational Leadership. Workshops are all free, and completion of certificates are recognized on
